This was SUCH a fun day. I met Zack and Katie at my studio when they were first interested in working together. After multiple emails with Katie, I discovered we had a mutual love for our favorite show, “The Office”. I have a very unhealthy addiction to that show (THANKS AMY) I have literally been OBSESSED since I got past the super awkward and almost unbearable first episode… (amiright? it’s almost painful) Anyway, I always ask about the proposal story and Zack just happened to propose to Katie using the words Jim used when he finally proposed to Pam. After I heard that story, I instantly knew I needed to be their photographer. Not only was that such an amazing proposal but after I met them in real life, I could tell they were such a fun couple and 100% made for each other. High School sweethearts, which, you know, have a special place in my heart and they are SUCH good friends. Friendship, to me, is even more important than the lovey dovey stuff and these two have it!
We had the best morning documenting all of the hard work Sarah put into the decor and the sentimental items Katie included in her day. There were multiple dance parties and so much laughter. Their bridal party was full of best friends and family members that have surrounded them during their relationship and provided so much support and encouragement. We all felt like we have known everyone our whole lives and it was so relaxed and stress free! My favorite part of the day, besides that dreamy sunset, was during their vows when they both talked about how excited they are to have a family together. I pictured their adorable babies running around and the two of them growing old together… cue the waterworks!
I hope you love the highlights from the day. This was such a fun wedding to photograph and it was even more fun to edit!
