I’ve been this sweet family’s photographer for the past four years! The first time I met them was when Nora, Sophia and Tommy came to see Santa at our very first Santa Mini! They came in with matching pajama’s and stole everyone’s hearts. It’s been so fun to see them grow up and I’ve loved getting to meet the rest of the family over the years!
I met Kate last fall! Not only is she absolutely gorgeous but she is one of the most genuine and kind people I have ever met. When her and Isaac showed up to their engagement session, Isaac got out of the car and we both had a look of “how do I know you?” 😂 Turns out, he was a groomsman in Katie & Zack‘s wedding! We didn’t figure it out until we got home later that day. Needless to say, it was super fun moving forward knowing that this was going to be the same friend group!
When I got to the venue for getting ready photos, I immediately noticed the energy that filled the whole building. So many people working to put together Kate & Isaac’s best day ever. I kept commenting how organized the day was! With ten bridesmaids, and four of them being your sisters, I should have known it would be seamless!
Kate & Isaac said their vows in the prettiest little church in downtown Kalispell. June in Montana has been known to be a bit unpredictable as far as the weather goes and I remember we saw a mixture of everything except snow! (Although the hail at one point had a strong resemblance to snow! #onlyinmontana)
The church was filled with their closest friends and family. This couple is blessed to have so many people who love and support them in this next adventure. The ceremony was traditional and beautiful and the promises made were genuine and heartfelt. There was a beautiful performance by Isaac’s Dad, who was also his bed man. At one point, Matt & I stopped shooting and just listened and took everything in. This is the kind of wedding that made me fall in love with weddings in the first place!
The reception followed at Snowline Acres. This was my first time photographing a wedding in this stunning venue and it did not disappoint! The food was elegant and the sweets were perfectly decorated. The venue was filled with the most gorgeous florals from this neutral color palette and we loved the greenery everywhere!
Since everyone is friends, a lot of the same guests came, so it was like a little reunion for Matt & I. And, even though Sarah wasn’t able to be there the entire day, she stunned again with her amazing floral design and we were lucky enough to see her before the party was over when she stopped by to give hugs and congratulations! The guests danced the entire night and had the best time celebrating this amazing couple. This group really knows how to party!
When it was time to say goodbye, the guests lined up and stretched their arms to make a tunnel to send off the newlyweds! They had decorated the car earlier in the day but the rain had washed it off by the time they were ready to go. With one more kiss and a quick wave, they were off to start their new beginning as husband and wife! On my way home, that evening, I saw the most gorgeous double rainbow and I had to stop to snap a picture. It was the perfect ending to this perfect wedding day.
