Travis + Kristie | An adventure wedding through Glacier National Park

When I was first hired to photograph this wedding, I had no idea what was in store for us that weekend! Plans evolved as the date got closer and the family ended up doing their reception the evening before, on the 4th of July. The setup was summery and cheerful and it was the perfect decor for a little intimate backyard Montana wedding. We dealt with a little rain that afternoon, but everyone still had so much fun and the food that the family cooked for dinner was so delicious! Watching them make it was just as fun as eating it! Travis & Kristie wanted some quick photos together before I headed out for the evening’s festivities so we sneaked out back to this secluded spot with such pretty scenery for a few “pre-wedding engagement photos” I left feeling excited for the next day and ready for the adventure session through GNP!

I got to the venue early the next morning. The property is near my house and there is something to be said about the Lake Blaine area of Kalispell… My husband puts it perfectly… we didn’t buy land, we bought peace and quiet! The birds were singing all morning as Kristie got her hair and makeup done outdoors on the patio while Travis was in town getting ready for the day while Jenn captured the hilarity that is Travis & Tucker! You two are seriously so much fun to be around! She texted me right when she left and said “this is going to be a fun day!” And, my goodness, was it ever!

We did a quick first look and loaded up the car for GNP. It was the day after the 4th of July, so of course it was totally packed up there, but it didn’t seem like it took any longer since the conversation was so fun! We stopped at a lot of places that day but my favorite was Big Bend. The view is incredible and everyone was so excited to see the happy couple! We got honked at so many times that day, Glacier Park is seriously the best place to get married!

We made it to Pray Lake in East Glacier just in time for their ceremony. All of their friends and family were there waiting for them and it was the most perfect spot to have their ceremony. The water was so calm and, again, THAT VIEW!

We ended the day with some photos at the Isaac Walton since they were spending the night in one of the iconic cabooses.

We keep looking back on this day and we can’t remember the last time we laughed as hard as we did that day! You guys are such a fun couple and have an incredible group of people surrounding you with all of that love and support. We are truly honored to have been your photographers and I hope you enjoy the highlights I picked out from your epic Montana wedding day!

Special thanks to all of the dream team of vendors for this amazing day!

Kiralee, I am so happy that I chose you to capture Travis and Kristie on their special day. From our first conversation, you were so easy to talk to and work with. I know they will never forget driving through Glacier NP with you and Jennifer – the camaraderie calmed nerves and made the day so enjoyable for them. Through the lens of a camera, your artistic eye captures those moments that take our breath away.
