Kait + David – An Intimate Spring Elopement at Diamond B Weddings.

Although we woke up to the most gorgeous sunrise that quickly turned into the prettiest sunshiny spring day… this day still probably looked nothing like what these two had spent so much time planning!

Kait, who we affectionately refer to as “Ms. Morin” in our house, is my daughter’s 1st grade teacher! We loved her right away and we are so lucky to have her for our girl!  Of course, this made the honor of being her and David’s wedding photographer even more special.

We spent a good part of the school year gushing about their plans, which really never was going to be a very large event, but they were excited for what friends and family they did invite to join in on their celebration.

Once the school was closed and the adventure of homeschooling began we started to talk about the possibility of postponing their big day… but after visiting with their families, Kait & David decided to go ahead with their plans to get married on May 9th and have an intimate ceremony with just the two of them, instead.  They had a close friend officiate the wedding and Chris & I as their witnesses.  I kept talking about how genius it was to get married this way and how relaxed the whole day was.  It was absolutely perfect.

After getting to know them as a couple during their engagement session, It was very clear why these two decided to go ahead with their original wedding day.  it was so clear that they were meant to be married on this day. Their day was simple, yet beautiful, and so full of love. It was an amazing reminder of what REALLY matters on a wedding day!  The most important moments don’t revolve around all the frills of a traditional wedding.

If you are planning your own wedding during this crazy time, I hope their day is an inspiration for you!  Remember that your love is what makes your day special.

I always have such a hard time choosing my favorites for the blog… this time is no different!

Thank you for trusting me to capture this important day for the two of you.  I am honored to have been a part of your big day and I hope you continue to allow me to be a witness to your beautiful love story.

Special thanks to all of the dream team of vendors for this amazing day!
