Heather + Adam – A bright and rustic lakeside wedding at Abayance Bay – a stunning destination Eureka, Montana wedding

I am having a hard time finding the words to describe how much we loved this wedding. It was authentic and genuine and watching this amazing couple interact… it just felt so effortless! Heather was in tears more than once and it melted our hearts. My favorite part of their ceremony was when they kissed and they turned around to be announced as husband and wife, Heather looked up at Adam and almost immediately afterwards she broke down in tears because they were finally married and it was real life! After being married almost 12 years and being pretty used to this “married” thing, it made me realize just how amazing those vows are and brought me back to when we were a couple of kids all those years ago when we started this crazy life together!

Heather and Adam were married at the Abayance Bay Marina in Rexford, MT and despite the INSANE amount of wind, it was an incredible day! The turquoise color of Lake Koocanusa is seriously a photographer’s dream and I am in love with their sunset portraits from when we snuck away for some one on one time as the festivities were winding down.

I loved the emotions and I loved serving this sweet couple and their amazing friends and family. I can’t tell you how many times I cried that day and I am pretty sure I cried even more while editing… I’m just so honored that they chose us to capture it all! I love these two and everyone that came out to celebrate them. In fact, none of us felt like photographing this wedding was work in any sense of the word. We more felt as if we were there as guests celebrating right along with everyone!
