Alex Nels 0243

Alex + Nels

It’s crazy to think that Saturday was the first time I met this amazing group of people.

From the second I walked through the door of the gorgeous Airbnb that Alex reserved for her and her girls, I felt like I had known them my whole life! I spent the morning photographing all the pretty details and listening to silly stories and how amazing this “Nels guy” is.  I watched this group of women shower Alex with so much love and support, it was the definition of true friendship.

Out of the 6000+ images my shutter happy self took all day, I can count on my fingers how many of those Alex wasn’t smiling.  She beamed and glowed the entire time I was with her and I’m sure that didn’t change once I left for the evening.  Their happiness was contagious and truly a joy to capture.

The color palette was a dreamy mix of late summer and early fall.  It was very fitting for the crisp morning we had that ultimately turned into a breezy summer day. Romantic wind is what I like to call it! The sun shined down on us right as the ceremony was starting and gave the vows the dreamy glow they deserved.  It was a fast ceremony, but I think that’s because Alex and Nels literally could not wait another second to be married to one another!

They celebrated with their guests in style with an open seating chart and a pizza buffet from Mooses! The cake had an ooey gooey caramel drizzle as the filling, which I had never seen before, but now I feel like I need it in my life, in the very near future. Travis and Adrienne delivered heartfelt speeches, as well as Alex’s dad, that brought the whole place to tears, including myself (ugly crying is a better description). They danced away as the day turned to dusk and we finished off the festivities with some romantic bride and groom portraits with that stunning view of the mountains as the backdrop.

The more I learned about this amazing couple, the more I admired them. They have been through a lot together and are still so strong in their love for each other.  I do not know them well, at all, but after having a first row seat to their love story on Saturday, I can tell that they could move mountains, as long as they do it together.

I could go on and on about how perfect this day was, but I think I will let the photos do the talking!

Thank you so much for giving me the honor of capturing your beautiful wedding day! I cannot wait to see how the rest of your love story unfolds! Congratulations, again! You two deserve all the happiness!
