It has been a while since I have been able to post a new Wedding Wednesday but we were lucky enough to photograph a GORGEOUS elopement the other day!  So, today we’re sharing our very first wedding of this year.  Because it was so amazing, we are looking forward to our 2017 wedding season even more!  Nicole and Gavin picked the perfect wintry Montana day. In fact, we now think it’s one of the best times of year to get married here!  We showed up right at 2pm and the wind literally started blowing… at 2.  Their original plan was to get married on the pier overlooking that famous, Lake McDonald view, but after standing in that spot for a second, we all decided that they would have frozen solid if we went through with that plan so, instead, we drove around Apgar, scoping out the other places that West Glacier has to offer.  Then, finally, we settled on a spot where the snow-covered trees lined the perfectly secluded road that blocked the frigid temperatures and gave this romantic ceremony a special feeling of serenity.  It was quiet and calm… as if the world had stopped around us, for just this moment, only for these two.

After their ceremony, we decided to brave the windy cold coming off McDonald lake for at least one photo with those gorgeous mountains as their backdrop!  Nicole was brave in her Grace Loves Lace backless gown, she smiled through it all, even that snow blowing around them as they were leaving the dock!  We kept our vehicles running and continued to photograph, chasing the light as we went until our last photo, with that stunning view of the West Glacier bridge and the mountains peeking with that Montana pink sunset.

It really was such a wonderful day, and we couldn’t be happier for this amazing couple!  We are blessed to have been your photographers and wish you all of the happiness in the world!
