This dreamy spring wedding was a long time in the making. Johanna contacted me in March of 2020 to secure her date for her gorgeous wedding at The Nest on Swan River in Bigfork, MT. Two years of wedding planning! She gushed about all of her plans and Tucker and their relationship and I could not WAIT to photograph this special day.

My husband went to school with Johanna so we have known each other for years but I was so excited to really get to know her the only way a wedding photographer could. We did their engagement session at the same venue around the same time, the year prior! I always get to know my couples the best during the e-session and I knew within the first 5 minutes how wonderful they were together.

The big day finally came and the weather was absolutely perfect. Especially considering the JUNE we have had here in northwest Montana.

All of her details and plans came together perfectly. The colors, the flowers, that CAKE! Gush worthy for sure. And even though some of the guys’ shirts were a little tight, they had fun with it the whole afternoon.

Their bridal party was one of our favorites. The most amazing bridesmaids that were there for Johanna with anything she needed. There weren’t any complaints from anyone the entire day and they were all truly there just to support this amazing couple! Some of them have been friends for decades!

The evening ended with a fiery sunset and a bonfire. Liz and I left before the fire started but we could imagine that it was a super fun ending to such a great day.
